4 Stellar Experiences in Monaco

March 17, 2022

Monaco may be a small Principality, but it is large on elegance, prestige, beauty and things to see and do to create moments of learning, pleasure, excitement and relaxation.

When you’re in this glorious part of the world for whatever reason – such as to attend the Monaco Yacht Show, for instance, you may want to broaden your horizons and experience some of the wonders this lovely part of the world has to offer.

We are providing you with four ideas you can choose to take advantage of while on your Monaco vacation for the Monaco Yacht Show.

Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo

The Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo defines itself as “a haven of luxury dedicated to wellness, beauty and performance.” The bird’s eye view of the sea from the heated pool is absolute heaven. Here, everything is dedicated to wellness: the outdoor Jacuzzi facing the port and the Rock, solarium, hammam, sauna and panoramic fitness room. After all the shopping, fine food, sightseeing and parties, you might need this respite more than you realize. A team of experts will fashion a personalized treatment regime for you in this lavish facility or you can choose from the treatments menu. Whatever else you choose, be sure to include the customized Monte-Carlo 90-minute massage!

Nightlife Fun

When you’re attending the Monaco Yacht Show yacht parties are the most exclusive events in town. The Principality is also known for parties at famed venues like Buddha Bar, Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo and Twiga. Monaco evenings are brimming with sparkle and the nights are magical. You have your pick of bars, lounges and clubs and they always have something trendy and fun to do. With its terrace overlooking the sea and cozy ambiance, the Blue Gin offers cocktails, champagnes, whiskies and liqueurs you can sip while listening to talented DJs on the decks. At La Vigie, signature cocktails, champagne and rum abound. Try a cigar or a hookah and spice up the party to the beat of live DJs.

Saint Nicholas Cathedral

The Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate – often called Saint Nicholas Cathedral, or Monaco Cathedral – is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Monaco in Monaco-Ville, Monaco, where many of the Grimaldis are entombed. This exalted cathedral is where Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly were married and where they are also now both entombed. This Roman-Byzantine style church was constructed in 1875 using white stone from La Turbie. It houses the tombs of Monaco’s former princes. Inside, alongside the magnificent high altar and the Episcopal throne made from white Carrara marble, stands a retable by the Niçois painter Louis Bréa, which dates from the year 1500.

With all the things you will be seeing and doing in Monaco, having a beautiful place to which you can retreat is essential. Villa Paradise, perched on a hillside overlooking the Bay of Eze, is a spectacular home you will be proud to call yours while in Monaco. This villa, which can accommodate up to 10 guests, provides wonderful spaces for entertaining, particularly on the sensational rooftop terrace. It has an outdoor, heated pool and a tennis court if you fancy a game or two. While at Villa Paradise, you will have full services along with 24/7 support from your LVH team.

Oceanographic Museum of Monaco

This museum was founded in 1910 by Prince Albert I who was also a sea captain. The museum and aquarium are must-sees. The skeleton of a whale is featured in the museum’s zoology room. And the aquarium – widely considered one of the best in Europe – contains more than 90 tanks, one of which is a shark lagoon. There is an immersive part of the museum that is unlike anything you’ll find in other museums. You will actually feel like you’re diving the Great Barrier Reef.

About the Immersive Experience:

  • A fully reconstructed living environment reacting to your movements;
  • Species are modeled from real images, movements and interactions are recreated from behaviors observed in the wild giving you a realistic diving experience;
  • Day and night scenarios have been freely imagined offering you a “single dive” to meet the most emblematic species of the Great Barrier Reef.
