When you are in Foggy Old London Town for Wimbledon 2022, you will surely be looking for restaurants known for serving wonderful cuisine. To save you time, we have highlighted five of the best London luxury restaurants for you! All offer exquisite wine pairings!

Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester

One of just four London restaurants with three Michelin stars, Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester has long been regarded as London’s ultimate fine-dining destination. The restaurant offers contemporary French cuisine in modern and elegant décor along with professional, friendly service. The seasonal menu changes frequently, but diners can expect a mix of British ingredients and French technique. The restaurant also houses the most famous dining table in London, Table Lumière. It is surrounded by 4,500 shimmering optical fibers which drop dramatically from the ceiling cleverly allowing guests to enjoy the ambiance and buzz of the restaurant while being nearly screened from view.

We recommend: The chef’s tasting menu where you will delight in such fare as roasted line-caught turbot, salsa, and razor clams and black garlic; pan-seared fillet of beef, charred leek, and mustard and bone marrow condiment; and Jerusalem artichokes with delicate Kristal caviar cream.

Dinner by Heston Blumenthal

Dinner was one of the city’s most anticipated openings. It is now widely considered to be one of the best restaurants in the country. Paying homage to historical British cooking, the menu reclaims traditional dishes dating back to the 16th century, reinventing them for the modern day. The menu lists dishes with the year they were first cooked. Fans of Blumenthal’s molecular gastronomy will enjoy the signature ‘Meat Fruit’ while the crowd-pleasing triple-cooked chips retain a place on the menu almost three decades after he first pioneered the dish.

We recommend: Meat fruit – mandarin chicken liver parfait and grilled bread; triple cooked chips; or the roast sea bass and green sauce with braised chicory, parsley, pepper, onion and eucalyptus.

Hélène Darroze at The Connaught

This three Michelin-starred restaurant showcases the talents of renowned French chef Hélène Darroze. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2019, the restaurant closed for two months to undergo a total refurbishment. Not only were the interiors modernized, but the menu as well. It reopened with a new a la carte offering that put a greater emphasis on British producers but still retained odes to her classic French training. The British-themed offerings include caviar with langoustine, oyster and runner beans, and Denbighshire pigeon with beetroot, wild blueberry and Mexican molé.

We recommend: The lobster from Cornwall with tandoori spices, carrot, citrus and coriander; veal Correze with cauliflower, Carlingford oysters, Oscietra caviar and capers.

Hide is London’s new kid on the block when it comes to fine dining. It has become one of the best restaurants in the city and its reputation was sealed after receiving its first Michelin star only six months after opening. The restaurant is an innovative concept and is split into three distinct areas: Above, Ground and Below, and a selection of stunning private dining rooms. Hide Above’s menu changes often but the signature dish is the nest egg, an eggshell filled with egg yolk, smoked butter, toasted mushrooms and cream.

We recommend: Starting with Beluga caviar served with crème fraiche, chives, pickled shallot and toasted crystal bread. Move to roast Huntsham farm suckling pig, mustard fruit puree, crushed turnip and homemade black pudding; or share the 50 day-aged short-horn beef ribeye cooked over charcoal served with crispy potato cakes, baked shallots, virgin rapeseed béarnaise and a salad of land cress, smoked tomatoes and Parmesan.

The Lecture Room & Library at Sketch

The Lecture Room & Library at Sketch is chic, glamorous and trendy. It was elevated to the maximum three Michelin stars, putting it in an elite group alongside three others in the city. The eatery offers haute-cuisine in a plush setting of studded ivory leather walls, ornate plasterwork ceilings, and rich furnishings in purple and crimson. Diners can choose between a seven-course tasting menu or a full a la carte menu. There is also a vast wine list containing some impressively expensive vintages.

We recommend: From the tasting menu – sea urchin bisque with Laphroaig malt whisky, grilled baby leeks, delica pumpkin gnocchi, cuttlefish and British shellfish. Sea urchin tongue croquet, slice of cured sea bass, smoked haddock, citrus jelly, foie gras cube, port reduction, carrots from Dunkirk with nougatine.
