NEW YORK CITY

The Orchid Show

The New York Botanical Garden hosts an orchid show bursting with color each spring. This amazing visual experience is held in the picturesque Victorian-style Enid A. Haupt Conservatory at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. Since 2002, famous Belgian florist Daniel Ost has been creating his “living sculptures” for the show. Each sculpture displays the large multi-color diversity of these tropical flowers while highlighting individual orchids. In the evenings, a stroll through the show is accompanied by live music and performances, creating a unique and spectacular atmosphere. Dancers add some motion to the displays. Conservatory Plaza fire pits offer cocktails and warm drinks to socialize, meet friends and have a good time. The show usually runs for two months, beginning mid-February.

New York International Children's Film Festival

If you are traveling to New York with your children, here is one event you will definitely be interested in. Founded in 1997, the International Children's Film Festival in New York is North America's largest film event dedicated to children and adolescents aged three to 18 years old. Its mission is to support creating and disseminating thought-provoking, intelligent films that cater to its young audience's unique perspectives and experiences. It encourages active and demanding vision and stimulates debate among viewers, families and the film community. The festival, presented over four weekends at major venues throughout the city, shows about 100 short and feature films, filmmaker Q&As, retrospective programs, parties, premieres, and industry forums. As an Academy Award-qualifying festival in the Best Live Action and Animated Short Film categories, the festival attracts a prestigious jury: esteemed directors, actors, studio executives and industry leaders. The festival takes place in March.

New York International Boat Show

This show introduces you to the latest automotive trends and offers an incredible collection of cutting-edge design and extraordinary innovation. The exhibition has more than four expansive floors and showcases an impressive array of global car manufacturers. Ninety yoga classes will be offered in three studios. Also on the agenda are conferences focusing on self-care and nutrition. There are also healing workshops and master yoga classes.
